Role Overview:
Seeking a skilled IT Consultant/Software Engineer with a strong background in cloud migration to lead the transition from Google Workspace to Microsoft 365. The ideal candidate will work closely with internal teams and external vendors to ensure a seamless migration while maintaining data integrity and minimizing operational disruptions.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess current Google Workspace usage and develop a detailed migration strategy, including timelines and milestones.
Execute the migration of key services such as Gmail, Calendar, Drive, and Docs to Microsoft 365.
Reconfigure third-party application authentication to align with Microsoft 365.
Coordinate closely with the in-house migration team and Google Workspace SMEs to implement necessary pre-migration adjustments.
Ensure smooth integration of M365 tenancy into daily operations.
Provide user training and support to facilitate a seamless transition.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues encountered during the migration.
Technical Scope:
Migration of approximately 3.1 TB of total storage (1 TB in Google Drive, 2.1 TB across 484 mailboxes).
User base: Under 500 accounts.
Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 architecture, including Outlook, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Teams.
Experience working with Single Sign-On (SSO) integrations and permission models for SharePoint and OneDrive.
Familiarity with Google Workspace APIs, Google Cloud Platform Projects, and domain-wide delegation models.
Hands-on experience with migration tools for large-scale Google Workspace-to-Microsoft transitions.
Qualifications & Experience:
Proven experience migrating Google Workspace (Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Docs) to Microsoft 365.
Expertise in collaboration platform consolidations, including API-based integrations.
Experience handling enterprise-level data migrations with minimal disruption.
Strong project management skills to track timelines and deliverables effectively.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders and train end-users.
