Job Title: Software Solutions Architect
Location: Dimondale, MI (Hybrid 2 days/week onsite)
Interview Process: 1st round virtual (MS Teams), 2nd round in-person
Job Overview:
The Software Solutions Architect will design, develop, and implement scalable, secure, and modern applications for the Department of Treasury. This is a full stack, hands-on role that combines technical leadership, architecture, and development responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Architect and develop scalable applications using .NET and React.
Lead and mentor development teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
Design microservices-based solutions with RESTful APIs and asynchronous communication.
Ensure ADA/WCAG 2.1 compliance for user-facing applications.
Collaborate on Human-Cantered Design and UI/UX best practices.
Optimize performance, security, and scalability of applications.
Integrate SQL Server and NoSQL databases.
Promote DevSecOps and CI/CD adoption.
Conduct code reviews and ensure code quality and reuse.
Required Skills & Experience:
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or related field.
8 years in software development.
8 years with .NET Core/.NET, C#, ASP.NET MVC/Web API.
5 years with React, TypeScript, JavaScript.
5 years with SQL Server (complex queries, stored procedures, performance tuning).
Hands-on experience as an Application Architect or Technical Lead.
Proficiency in REST APIs and modern authentication protocols (OAuth2, OpenID Connect).
Knowledge of accessibility standards (ADA, WCAG 2.1).
Experience with Agile/Scrum and Azure DevOps.
Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Desired Qualifications:
Experience in Test-Driven Development (TDD) and automated testing using ADO or TestComplete.
Familiarity with microservices design patterns (e.g., API gateways, service discovery).
Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
Work Authorization:
No remote-only option. Hybrid work schedule required upon start.
