We are seeking a skilled and experienced Bridge Foreman to join our construction team. This role involves managing crews, ensuring safety compliance, coordinating with project management, and maintaining schedules and budgets. The Bridge Foreman will provide leadership, technical expertise, and hands-on support to ensure the successful completion of bridge-related structures.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Supervision and Execution:
- Direct and supervise all phases of bridge construction, including foundation work, concrete pours, girder placement, deck installation, and structural finishing.
- Ensure all work meets design specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
Crew Management:
- Lead and manage a team of laborers, carpenters, equipment operators, and subcontractors.
- Assign tasks and monitor performance to maximize productivity and efficiency.
- Train and mentor crew members to build technical skills and adherence to safety protocols.
Safety and Compliance:
- Enforce safety regulations and company policies to ensure a safe work environment.
- Conduct daily safety meetings and inspections to identify and mitigate risks.
Scheduling and Coordination:
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to plan construction activities and resources.
- Ensure adherence to project timelines and coordinate with other trades to avoid delays.
Material and Equipment Management:
- Manage the delivery and usage of materials and equipment on-site.
- Conduct inspections to maintain equipment functionality and report maintenance needs.
Quality Control and Reporting:
- Perform quality checks throughout the construction process to ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Document daily activities, progress, and any issues, providing regular updates to project management.
Qualifications:
- Union Membership: Must be a current member in good standing.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in bridge construction, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of bridge construction techniques, materials, and equipment. Familiarity with reinforced concrete, structural steel, and pre-stressed components.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead diverse teams and foster a collaborative environment.
- Safety Focus: Thorough knowledge of OSHA regulations and safe construction practices.
- Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with crews, management, and clients.
- Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting and decision-making skills to address challenges effectively.

Pay: From $49.57 per hour
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
- Weekends as needed
