Your Role: Hands-On, Impactful, and Fast-Paced
As a CEI Bridge and Roadway Inspector in Morgantown, WV and southern areas of the state, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the quality, safety, and compliance of major transportation infrastructure projects.

What You'll Do:

Execute inspection and oversight duties on bridges and roadways, ensuring adherence to project specifications, contracts, and safety protocols.

Monitor construction activities including land clearing, earthwork, asphalt and concrete paving, bridge construction, and traffic control setups.

Collect samples and conduct tests on construction materials to ensure quality and compliance.

Maintain detailed reports documenting inspection findings, project status, and contractor performance.

Review erosion control installations to ensure environmental compliance.

Attend project meetings, collaborating with contractors and engineers on project updates.

Verify compliance with Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) and Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) requirements.

What We're Looking For:

A High School diploma/GED and 4 years of highway-related construction or inspection experience OR
-
A 2-year technical degree or higher in Civil Engineering Technology or Surveying Technology with 2 years of highway-related construction experience OR
-
A Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Construction Engineering Technology.

A WV TRET Certification or the ability to obtain it within 6 months.

Ability to lift 40-50 lbs.

Strong math and technical writing skills.

What to Expect:
With the use of Company-provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):

Outdoor, hands-on work in all weather conditions.

Walking over rough terrain and standing for long periods (up to 12 hours).

Lifting and carrying 40-50 lbs. of materials and equipment.

Safely handling field tools and maneuvering equipment on active construction sites.

Exposure to highway traffic, uneven terrain, and heavy machinery, with potential for extended hours, weekends, and holidays.
