CEI Bridge and Roadway Inspector
S&ME is currently seeking full-time CEI Bridge/Roadway Inspectors for major bridge and roadway projects around Burlington, WV and southern areas of the state.

As a CEI (Construction Engineering and Inspection) Inspector, you'll play a critical role in the oversight of significant transportation projects to ensure they are constructed in alignment with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

What You Will Do:
As a CEI (Construction Engineering and Inspection) Inspector, you'll play a critical role in the oversight of significant transportation projects to ensure they are constructed in alignment with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
- You must have one of the following:
- High school diploma/GED required and 4 years of highway related construction or inspection experience or;
- 2-year technical degree or higher in Civil Engineering Technology or Surveying Technology with 2 years of highway related construction experience or;
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Bachelor of Science in Construction Management or Construction Engineering Technology Degree.
- You have a WV TRET Certification or the ability to obtain WV TRET certification within 6 months.
- You have the ability to lift between 40-50 lbs.
- You have math and technical writing skills.
You are willing and able to perform the physical demands of this position with the use of Company-provided Personal Protective Equipment such as:
- Working outdoors the majority of the time in varying weather conditions.
- Walking over rough, uneven terrain and standing for potentially up to 12 hours a day.
- Routinely lifting and carrying 40-50lbs, (field/laboratory samples and equipment).
- Maneuvering field equipment safely, such as a loaded wheelbarrow, on uneven ground around active construction sites.
