What You Will Do:
As a MicroStation CAD Designer, you'll bring innovative designs to life by creating detailed 2D drawings and 3D models under the guidance of experienced professionals. You'll play a crucial role in transforming hand sketches and preliminary layouts into comprehensive engineering drawing packages. - CAD Drafting: Using MicroStation, perform CAD drafting of engineering designs and preparation of final engineering plans.
- CAD Expertise: Work alongside the current MicroStation CAD Designers. To gain experience and knowledge of using MicroStation to complete a design plan set from start to finish.
- Construction Document Preparation: Assist in preparing construction documents for public and/or private public works infrastructure projects (i.e., street, highway, drainage, water, and sanitary sewer improvements) from conceptual design to final design, under the direction and supervision of a professional engineer and senior civil CAD designer.
- Communication and Relationships: Establish good communication and working relationships with team members and clients.
Who You Are:
- You have a High school diploma/GED
- You have an Associate's or technical degree, or a combination of education and work experience, is a plus
- You have a minimum of 4 years of related professional experience
- You have a willingness to learn MicroStation CAD and design packages
- You have knowledge of CAD software
- You have effective communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing), using the English language
- You have fundamental knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Adobe Acrobat
- You have MicroStation, OpenRoads, AutoCAD Civil 3D and Basic ArcGIS experience, a plus
