Your Role: Hands-On, Impactful, and Fast-Paced
As an Environmental Services Manager, you will spearhead Environmental Services within our Greensboro, North Carolina office, which serves the Triad's Greensboro, Winston-Salem, High Point, Burlington, and surrounding markets. This isn't just a managerial role; it's a pivotal leadership opportunity where your seasoned expertise will shape and elevate our operational success.
Your strong leadership abilities, project management skills, and dedication to maintaining client satisfaction and project excellence will play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of environmental and industrial hygiene services to our private and public clients while contributing to the growth and development of the organization. You will oversee a team of professionals providing environmental, engineering, and industrial hygiene consulting services. This role involves supervising staff, coordinating with other managers and team leaders, managing projects, and engaging in business development activities to maintain and grow client relationships.
What You'll Do:
- Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and support a dedicated team of environmental professionals.
- Create a positive team culture rooted in collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.
- Hire and develop top talent and provide coaching that helps your team thrive.
- Work with other managers across S&ME to align resources and share expertise.
- Project & Business Development:
- Oversee a variety of environmental projects-everything from due diligence to regulatory compliance and industrial hygiene.
- Manage proposals, budgets, deliverables, and client communication.
- Visit project sites, connect with clients, and ensure we're delivering high-quality work.
- Play a key role in growing our client base and expanding our market presence in the region.
What We're Looking For:
- A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, or a related field
- A Professional Engineering or Geology license, or the ability to obtain within 3 months
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in Operational and/or Project Management in providing these consulting services: environmental assessments, due diligence, regulatory permitting, environmental compliance, industrial hygiene, and/or similar services.
- Good business knowledge and technical writing skills
- A strong work ethic, positive attitude, and ability to lead a team
