What You Will Do :
As an entry-level Transportation Technician , you will collaborate with fellow technicians to conduct essential inspections and materials testing on various infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, greenways, airports, ports, and rail systems.
- Inspection and Oversight : Support the inspection of contractor activities (such as earthmoving, paving, and bridge construction) to ensure compliance with project plans and permits.
- Documentation : Compile material reports, maintain daily logs, and keep detailed records for payment documentation.
- Technical Tasks : Carry out materials sampling and testing, verify line and grade using survey equipment, and perform necessary calculations.
- Compliance : Execute DBE and EEO compliance surveys and inspect erosion control measures to adhere to environmental regulations.
- Communication : Work with third-party construction personnel and senior staff to ensure that everyone is on the same page and that the project runs smoothly.
Technicians work in both indoor and outdoor settings, facing various weather and field conditions, including heights, uneven terrain, highway traffic, construction site hazards, and heavy machinery. Extended hours, weekends, and holiday work may be required.

What You Bring :
High school diploma / GED and 0-2 years of highway-related construction or inspection experience
American Concrete Institute (ACI) : Field Testing Grade I; Strength Testing Technician; Laboratory Technician
