Director, Enterprise Architecture

Digital Technology Services (DTS) is responsible for delivering cross-enterprise technology services to our key technology stakeholders and all employees globally including the infrastructure, platforms, and end-user capabilities. The Impact:
The Director, Enterprise Architect (EA) will lead development of cross functional assets as part of the architecture continuum. This role involves defining architectural framework including standards, patterns, guardrails, and enabling through EA tools. The EA will collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess technology risks, promote best practices, and facilitate decision-making processes. Key responsibilities include creation and maintenance of EA assets, modelling through tools, and facilitating architecture clinics to help improve architectures. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of agile, IT cloud/infrastructure, and excellent communication abilities.

Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only): S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $180,000 - $230,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual's geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses, and certifications. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan. This role is eligible to receive additional S&P Global benefits. This role will be responsible for:
- Alignment of Business and IT: ensure that IT strategies align with business goals, facilitating better decision-making and resource allocation. Including driving alignment of technology strategies with IT capabilities to drive organizational success.
- Improved Efficiency: provide a clear framework and guidelines, to streamline processes, reduce redundancy, and enhance operational efficiency.
- Risk Management: identify and mitigate risks associated with technology changes and integrations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Facilitates Change: provide a structured approach to managing change, making it easier to adapt to new technologies or market demands.
- Enhanced Communication: fosters more effective communication between IT and business units, ensuring that all stakeholders have a common understanding of goals and processes.
- Strategic Planning: support long-term planning by providing insights into current capabilities and future needs, helping S&P Global to stay competitive.
- Develop and maintain an Architecture Framework.
- Identify and coordinate the development of architecture standards in line with business objectives
- Monitor architecture drift and manage use cases across Digital Technology Services, including defining and documenting the baseline enterprise architecture to serve as a reference point for future changes.
- Maintain a centralized repository of architecture assets e.g. patterns, guardrails, standards, data models, and roadmaps.
- Maintain capability models that illustrate how technology supports business objectives, assess gaps in capabilities, and recommend improvements.
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science,
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Enterprise Architecture, Data Architecture or similar roles.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective leadership and communication abilities.
- Ability to influence and develop strong partnerships with senior leaders across technology.
- TOGAF certified.
- Deep understanding of the technology industry,
- Skilled in preparing executive-level presentations and managing stakeholder relationships.
