The Vice President of Business Transformation is a pivotal leadership position within the Ratings Global Technology & Data function, responsible for driving transformation initiatives throughout the organization. This role includes leading the Agile Portfolio Management Office (APMO), overseeing change management, technology finance, vendor management, and fostering scaled agile and cross-functional working methodologies. Ensuring that strategic product development and initiatives align with business objectives and are executed with optimal prioritization and sequencing is key.
The VP will be an integral member of the Global Technology Leadership Team, collaborating with other Tech & Data Senior Leadership Team and Operating Committee members to advance the strategic digital agenda. Furthermore, the VP of Business Transformation will engage closely with stakeholders across Ratings and S&P Global to promote innovation and operational excellence. Reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer, this position is fundamental in shaping the technological future of our company and enhancing our scalability and agility.
Job Responsibilities
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $157,941 to $300,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.
In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.

Job Responsibilities
- Frame strategy and expectations, define value, design the journey, and build the foundation to get it right.
- Driving accountability and adoption to capture the value from the transformation initiatives.
- Will drive prioritization of initiatives with other enterprise and regional programs to assess business readiness impact and resourcing needs.
- Work closely with technology, product and other stakeholders to connect analytical, commercial, and data architecture to drive AI capabilities across the organization.
- Arrange continuous planning and prioritization, effective people experience, governance, and broad deployment.
- Develop and implement comprehensive change management strategies to facilitate smooth transitions and ensure widespread adoption of new technologies and processes.
- Drive execution individual initiatives and products that deliver value and positive outcomes on an iterative basis
- Lead the Program/ Project Management Office, setting standards and best practices to ensure successful delivery of business value on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Build the agile ways of working vision, methodologies, playbooks and tools to accelerate how technology and other cross functional programs are delivered within the company
- Play a critical role in defining the tone for technology and data delivery success across Ratings, driving a strong linkage from multi-year plans to driving execution plans and build strong governance and value delivery.
- Manage and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement. Will work closely with the Global People Partner team in talent readiness and development as well as operating model and organizational design.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the business, acting as a trusted advisor and ensuring technology and data initiatives are closely aligned with business needs.
- Champion the adoption of innovative technologies and data best practices within the organization to drive efficiency, competitiveness, and growth.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with technology and transformation projects, ensuring the organization's resilience and operational continuity.
- Leading multi-disciplined teams and functions to deliver cross-team capability across areas associated with the complex management of all Programs/projects including operational governance, vendor management, Technology assurance, talent development, and Technology communications.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
- A minimum of 15 years of experience in a senior technology leadership role, with a proven track record of leading transformation in a global technology organization.
- Demonstrated experience in building technology strategy, managing change, technology finance, leading APMO, Agile and Product transformation and agile funding models.
- This leader will work with global and regional teams to ensure initiatives are properly planned, prioritized and linked to business strategies and regional business priorities
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and drive performance in a global team.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, capable of engaging with executives and cross - functional teams.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving ability. A high energy, fast-paced mindset with strong emotional intelligence and an assertive style
- Exceptional leadership and influencing skills given the multiplicity of stakeholders across global technology and broader business stakeholders within functions and regions
