The Health and Human Services Delivery Center (HHSDC) is seeking an Azure Cloud Solutions Architect to design and implement cloud strategies for modernizing IT infrastructure and data systems. This senior-level role involves planning and coordinating cloud solutions, particularly in Azure, to replace legacy systems with hybrid cloud architecture. The position requires collaboration with various IT teams to meet business goals and ensure the solutions are cost-effective and aligned with industry advancements.
Key Responsibilities :
Design and implement Microsoft Azure-based cloud solutions (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
Work with teams to deliver architecture, technical roadmaps, and migration strategies for cloud solutions.
Collaborate across IT to apply enterprise-level standards in solution architecture.
Perform business and technical requirements gathering and testing.
Provide ongoing feedback and quality assurance to project teams.
Present and document technical solutions for stakeholders.
Lead efforts in application migration and infrastructure management in the Azure cloud.
Required Skills and Experience :
Minimum of 5 years as a Software Development Lead and 3 years as a Designer / Architect.
Expertise in Azure administration, development, and DevOps.
Experience with hybrid cloud solutions, cloud migrations, CI / CD pipelines, and Azure DevOps.
Proficiency in software and data architecture, systems design, SQL, .Net, Python, and other programming languages.
Strong ability to analyze business requirements and develop optimized solutions.
Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills.
Microsoft Azure certification preferred.
Additional Information :
Occasional on-site visits required for equipment pickup and collaboration.
The contractor will receive hardware / software and office space when needed.
This position is primarily remote, with occasional on-site work in Harrisburg, PA.
