This position serves as a manager (includes planning, directing subordinates, and interpreting policy)
Job details:
This position is responsible for the leadership, financial management and oversight of muti-disciplinary, Medicare certified skilled nursing facility that serves the long-term care and rehabilitative needs of Arizona’s Veterans/Members. Ensures that the Arizona State Veteran Home’s resources are used effectively and efficiently to attain or maintain the highest practicable physical, mental, and psychological well-being of each Veteran/Member. Participates in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, programs, projects, policies and procedures related to the operation of the facility. Enforces department and facility policies and ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements. This position is the “face” of the Arizona State Veteran Home and works to build collaborative and cooperative relationships with federal and state agencies, Veteran Service Organizations and other community service groups. Learns, implements and monitors Arizona Management System (AMS) methods. Utilizes AMS concepts and tools for problem-solving and continuous work/process improvements and efficiency.

Education Requirements:
- Must have a current license to practice as a Nursing Home Administrator in Arizona
- Driving in the course of State business is required. Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must have a valid fingerprint clearance card issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
