Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Accounting Manager to join our team and take charge of the financial operations for our various companies under the Starks Enterprise umbrella. The ideal candidate will be proficient in QuickBooks, adept at creating budgets, and experienced in organizing financial plans and goals for each of our enterprises. This individual will also be responsible for establishing efficient accounting practices, and ensuring financial stability across our organizations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage the financial operations of Starks Enterprise and its subsidiary companies, including budgeting, financial reporting, and analysis.
- Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Create and manage budgets for each business segment within the Starks Enterprise portfolio.
- Monitor and assess financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
- Collaborate with company leaders to set financial goals and strategies, helping to drive profitability.
- Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with all accounting regulations and standards.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and streamline financial operations.
- Act as a problem solver, addressing any financial challenges that arise and finding effective solutions.
- Maintain and reconcile financial records for multiple companies, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Prepare monthly financial statements, balance sheets, and profit and loss statements.
- Reconcile bank statements and oversee cash flow management.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Collaborate with the management team to analyze financial data and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Process payroll and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
- Assist with annual audits and tax filings.
- Stay informed about relevant accounting standards and industry best practices.
- Prepare invoices and prepare cash deposits.
- Ensure all transactions are recorded and account closed correctly; maintain records of all account transactions, including but not limited to journal entries, balance sheets, etc.
- Monitor accounts for accuracy; provide discrepancies to management or staff members.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is a plus.
- Proven proficiency with QuickBooks or other accounting software.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- A collaborative team player who can work effectively with colleagues at all levels.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and lead a team.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail.
- Proven experience minimum 3 years in accounting roles, preferably within the real estate or construction industry.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $62,000.00 - $68,000.00 per year
