Electrical Superintendent – Commercial
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Commercial Electrical Superintendent to manage commercial and multi-family projects. This role involves overseeing all aspects of electrical work on-site, ensuring safety, quality, and project timelines are met.
Responsibilities:
- Manage daily activities on commercial construction sites, including project oversight and safety compliance.
- Supervise electricians and helpers, monitor work quality, and ensure adherence to project plans and layouts.
- Read and interpret plans, specifications, and submittals accurately.
- Train and enforce safety protocols and procedures among the team.
- Troubleshoot electrical problems and diagnose issues effectively.
- Ensure materials and equipment are ordered and delivered on time to meet project requirements.
- Maintain project schedules and ensure deadlines are met.
- Coordinate with project managers and other stakeholders to address challenges and maintain progress.
Qualifications and Experience:
- 10 years of commercial electrical experience.
- Proven scheduling experience in construction projects.
- Experience in a lead or supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of electrical and building codes.
- Ability to interpret wiring diagrams, including lighting controls and building automation systems.
- Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Valid driver’s license.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Procore, or similar software).
- Understanding of emerging electrical technologies.
