Job Overview:
S & S Electrical Services is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Warehouse & Inventory Coordinator to support our installation and distribution operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background, experience with warehouse equipment, and a commitment to maintaining efficient inventory and logistics processes. This role is essential in ensuring accurate inventory tracking, safe operations, and optimized workflow within the warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Warehouse & Inventory Management:
- Organize and maintain the warehouse for efficient operations.
- Receive and ship equipment, verifying accuracy against bills of lading.
- Update system documents to log equipment and ancillary parts in our Bolt inventory system.
- Conducting regular inventory cycle counts to ensure accuracy.
- Order and track ancillary parts for installation jobs while maintaining an organized stock area.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to meet demand for timely order fulfillment.
- Maintain records of tools, equipment, and inventory control numbers.
- Handle returns, vendor relationships, and reconciliation of inventory records.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of the warehouse and company products.
Logistics & Distribution:
· Assist with loading/unloading electrical supplies, including light poles, electrical boxes, conduit, panels, and other related materials.
- Oversee receiving operations, including reconciliation, inspection, and stocking.
- Work closely with distributors and warehouses to verify that materials sent for each job are accurately received and that pricing matches expectations.
- Assist with loading equipment onto trailers for installers using a forklift.
- Maintain vendor relationships and oversee successful completion of returns.
- Monitor purchase orders for tools, materials, and stock items.
- Supervise warehouse employees/delivery installers and oversee daily operations.
Compliance & Safety:
- Ensure all warehouse operations adhere to OSHA safety standards.
- Maintain documentation for electrical certifications and warranties of materials.
- Supervise the safety and security of warehouse procedures and protocols.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to warehouse operations.
- Experience working in a distribution center environment.
- Proficiency in operating warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks.
- Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes.
- High level of organizational, communication, leadership, and customer service skills.
- Strong ability to develop innovative solutions to improve warehouse productivity.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Bolt inventory systems.
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Required).
- 3 years of experience in Microsoft Office (Required).
- Warehouse and logistics experience (Required).
