What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Manager position at S&S Employment Partners?
We are seeking a General Manager to oversee all facets of the facility’s operations, ensuring exceptional client experience for guests, clients and staff.
This is a full-time direct hire opportunity where you will earn up to $55,000 per year based on your experience. Plus you will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package. This position is 40-hours per week and you will work a split shift 7-11am and 2-6pm M-F and weekends with 2 days off each week. This position is 100% onsite.
Some of your responsibilities as General Manager will include supervising the care and well-being of the boarding and daycare animals. In addition, you will be responsible for:
- Managing daily operations to ensure smooth and safe facility functioning
- Hiring, training and supervising staff
- Assisting with employee orientation
- Coaching and mentoring
- Overseeing the facility’s budget/supplies
- Providing outstanding animal care in a fun and relaxed environment
- Engaging with clients, addressing inquiries, concerns and feedback to ensure exceptional client service
- Collaborating with the social media team
- Staying updated on industry trends
- Assisting with implementation of policies
- Assisting with quality checks
- Other duties as assigned
To qualify for the General Manager position, you must have:
- Supervisory and leadership experience
- Previous managerial experience, preferably in the pet care industry
- BA preferred but not required
- A genuine love for dogs
- Proficiency in budgeting and strategies to optimize profitability
- Strong customer service techniques
- Knowledge of HR policies and protocol development
- Organizational skills
- Interpersonal skills
- Experience managing a staff including: coaching, development, performance appraisals, and more
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to drive initiative programs
- Ability to develop employees
