JOB DESCRIPTION
The Information Technology (IT) Specialist provides maintenance of the computer desktop environment and supports the internal information technology Helpdesk in accordance with S&S Firestone, Inc’s mission and strategic goals, federal and state laws and regulations, performance and outcome objectives and standards.
Primary Duties:
- Monitors and responds quickly and effectively to requests received through the IT Helpdesk phone and ticketing software.
- Monitors Helpdesk for tickets assigned to the queue and processes “first-in first-out” based on priority and criticality.
- Escalates events to Senior IT Managers when appropriate.
- Utilizes and maintains Helpdesk tracking software.
- Follows and documents internal procedures.
- Assists with training new employees.
- Support users in the use of computer equipment by providing necessary training and advice
- Provide support for maintenance, backups and disaster recovery, servers, firewalls, and computers
- Support and configuration of Apple and Android mobile devices
- Provide technical user support to local personnel, including occasional night and weekend events
- Will be required to be on a rotating on-call basis throughout the calendar year.
- Installs, tests, and configures workstations, peripheral equipment, and software.
- Maintains inventory of all IT equipment, software, and software licenses.
- Knowledge of network printer installation, setup, and troubleshooting
- Installation and upgrade of hardware and software
- Assists in maintaining the Endpoint security software utilized on the network/PC’s
- Assist in maintaining the addition of new users to the WAN/LAN network and establishment of rights and privileges
- Manages computer setup and deployment using standardized hardware, images, and software.
- Coordinates with Network Manager to assigns users and computers to proper groups in Active Directory.
- Manage IT assets, keep asset management systems up-to-date and manage asset disposal pickups.
- Orders supplies and coordinates with IT vendors
- Performs timely workstation hardware and software upgrades as required.

Requirements
Experience and Skills:
Education/Experience:
- Associates degree OR will substitute education, certifications and experience
- 1-2 years relevant technical experience
Specific Skills:
- Experience in SharePoint and Active Directory administration preferred.
- Strong PC & Network troubleshooting skills
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Experience with ERP systems, EDI, ETL’s also a PLUS
- Experience in IP phone system, IP camera system, MS Exchange on prem/online preferred but not required
- Ability to effectively communicate within and across departments.
- Some Travel to US locations required (< 25%)
Schedule:
8 hours – Monday-Friday – Some REMOTE days
Some After-Hours/Weekend intermittently required
Salary : $45,000 - $60,000
