We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Garage Door Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction, with the ability to install, repair, and maintain various types of garage doors. This role requires hands-on experience with power tools and a commitment to delivering high-quality service to our clients.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain garage doors and their components.
- Assess and troubleshoot issues with garage door systems.
- Utilize power tools and hand tools safely and effectively.
- Perform door hanging, trim carpentry, and caulking as needed.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide solutions.
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment at construction sites.
- Document service performed and communicate any additional needs to clients.
- Attend and participate in some referral networking groups, making connections and driving more sales.
Skills
- Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools related to construction.
- Experience in locksmithing is a plus for securing garage door systems.
- Strong skills in carpentry, particularly trim carpentry and door hanging.
- Familiarity with electrical components related to garage door operations.
- Ability to perform remodeling tasks as they pertain to garage installations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for effective client interaction.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team on construction sites.
