Job Title: Precision Grinding Machinist

Job Summary:

S&S Tool Inc. is looking for a full-time highly motivated Precision Grinding Machinist with precision CNC and manual internal, external, and surface grinding experience. Our Machinists set up and operate CNC ID and OD cylindrical grinders to perform routine or repetitive operations in a manner which consistently meets customer specifications and quality standards.

Essential Functions:

The primary duties and responsibilities of the Precision Grinding Machinist consist of but are not limited to:

• Ability to Program and Set up CNC ID and OD cylindrical grinders.
• Assist with fabricating new components per customer drawings.
• Ability to check and verify work using various measurement methods including, but not limited to, pressure micrometers, bore gages, CMM, ratchet micrometers, calipers, gage blocks, profilometers, and height stands.
• Work on jobs according to due date, and supervisor instruction
• Must have programming experience or knowledge of conversational programming method on Okamoto or Toyoda CNC controls.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the following materials and machines:
• Grinding carbide, Tool steel, ceramic, aluminum, and other exotic materials
• Jones & Shipman Universal I.D./O.D. Grinders
• Bryant or Heald I.D. Grinders
• Okamoto CNC Rotary Surface Grinders
• Toyoda and Okamoto CNC I.D. and O.D. Grinders, programming, set-up, and operation
• Prolonged Standing and walking for up to 10 hours.
• Lifting requirements: 60lbs

Qualifications:

• Education
• Graduate of High School (Minimum)
• Background
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Precision Grinding Machinist role

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
