As our Human Resources Assistant Safety Liaison, you'll be a key player in our growing HR and Safety team. You’ll collaborate closely with recruiting, onboard new employees, support team members with compassion and professionalism, and help streamline HR processes. You’ll also be the go-to resource for everything from pay contracts and benefits to retention strategies and compliance.
What You’ll Do:
- Serve as the bridge between our drivers and leadership, promoting clear communication and support.
- Maintain accurate safety and HR records.
- Coordinate and lead onboarding and orientation for new hires.
- Ensure timely and accurate benefits enrollment.
- Build positive relationships with employees and management to support recruitment, retention, and HR compliance.
- Be a backup resource for pay contract and benefits-related questions.
- Support the Safety Director and assist in cross-functional HR and safety initiatives.
- Handle leave-of-absence cases with empathy, discretion, and attention to detail.
- Embrace whatever task comes your way with flexibility and a team-first mindset.
What We’re Looking For:
- 1 years of hands-on HR experience in a medium or large organization (or equivalent background).
- Excellent communication, organization, and tech skills.
- Confidence managing multiple priorities while working both independently and as part of a team.
- A compassionate, energetic, and resourceful personality with a strong work ethic.
- A valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Willingness to relocate to Grand Forks, ND.
Bonus Points For:
- HR experience in the transportation industry.
- Familiarity with ADP, HRIS systems, or TMW.
Physical Requirements:
- Able to sit at a desk and use a computer for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs occasionally.
