S&S Transport, Inc of Milton is looking to add a Warehouse Associate to our Warehouse team! Join a family owned and operated company who has been in the logistics industry for over 40 years! Choose your schedule! Tuesday through Saturday (usually until the lunch hour on Saturday), or Monday - Friday. We are in an exciting time of growth as we just opened our new, state of the art facility in June! Pay is based on experience.
Warehouse associates work with the distribution, storage, delivery, and inspection of incoming and outgoing products. Shipping, and warehouse companies of all types hire Warehouse associates work to maintain and manage inventory of products and materials.
Warehouse/Forklift Operators Duties and Responsibilities
- Process Shipments
- Using forklifts to load and unloading freight
- Process shipments coming in and out of the business. This includes preparing outgoing shipments and inspecting incoming shipments, as well as scanning shipments and entering them into digital databases.
- Warehouse associates monitor inventory by physically counting items and creating regular inventory reports.
Skills and Qualifications
Warehouse/Forklift Operators are detail-oriented workers with customer service and communication skills who can work in physically demanding environments. Businesses look for Warehouse/Forklift Operators who have all the following skills:
- Attention to detail – must be highly detail-oriented to inspect all inventory items and accurately prepare outgoing shipments for customers
- Organization skills – as Warehouse/Forklift Operators are responsible for keeping inventory areas well-organized, organization skills are required for this job
- Multitasking skills – Warehouse/Forklift Operators use multitasking skills to manage many different tasks at once
- 1 Year Experience Preferred
Pay is based on experience.
