JOB DESCRIPTION
Position: Key Accounts Manager Dept: Sales
Reports To: Director Sales Class: Exempt
Summary of Responsibilities:
Responsible for sales development and account management of the largest S&S customers. Also responsible for new business development with major cities and state contracts. Includes customer needs assessment, development and strategic sales planning.
Primary Duties:
1. Develop and implement customer specific sales plans focused on managing and increasing sales with our largest core market customers.
2. Identify and develop new business opportunities with in our core markets. Identify and qualify and develop strong selling relationships with potentially large prospective customers.
3. Concentration on increasing sales and profitability with states we currently have contracts. Responsible for ensuring state registrations are completed and overseeing the sales development for those state we currently are not an approved vendor.
4. Proactively solicit and ensure the receipt of all bid/contract and new business opportunities from our key accounts.
5. Attend conferences, conventions, association meetings in an effort to meet potential customers, generate prospective leads and increase sales.
6. Provide sales guidance and training with in their market of expertise to the inside sales and bid departments.
7. Communicate customer buying habits and market product trends for their specified customer group concentrations to marketing department.
8. Plan and initiate workshops with select customers. Conduct product presentations of arts & crafts/Sports activities, novelty & incentive products. Introduce new items and increase sales.
9. Keep abreast of the industry, competitors products and make recommendations to management for new product development or modification of existing products; Communicate changing trends and any problems or issues that may impact sales.
10. Perform other sales tasks and customer retention duties as instructed by the Director.

Requirements:
Minimum 5 years experience in Direct Selling in a business to business industry, and/or market/product experience.
4 Year College degree preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to coordinate various support department efforts to meet and / or exceed customers needs and expectations
Ability to create comprehensive sales contact plans targeting customers in specified core markets.
Ability to effectively manage an expense budget
