Job description
Primary Purpose: Electrical Helper is a nonsupervisory position responsible for installing, testing, locating, and repairing electrical wiring, system and fixtures.
WOULD LIKE CANDIDATES TO HAVE 1-2 YEARS OF EXPEIENCE AND CONDUIT INSTALLATION EXPERIENCE
Typical Duties:
- Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install electrical conduit.
- Connect wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment.
- Install switches, relays, circuit-breaker panels, etc.
- Connect power cables to equipment and install grounding leads.
- Test continuity of circuit to insure electrical compatibility and safety of components.
- Observe functioning of installed equipment or system to determine hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement.
- Repair faulty equipment or systems.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to understand written and oral directions
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems and wiring
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skill
General Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver’s License
Physical Demands:
Must be able to -
- Must be able to see color to discern color-coded wiring and be able to see naturally or with correction, to safety perform designed tasks.
- Use hands and arms to reach for, handle and manipulate objects.
- Digging trenches, shoveling gravel
- Lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Climb up and down ladders, scaffolds, stairs, and other climbing devices.
- Carry tools and equipment.
- Work while in stooped, kneeling, crouched, and crawling positions.
Pay rate is $18-20/hr to start but S&W is looking to train and help employees grow
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
