Job Overview

Duties
- Collaborate with Resident Engineers and Inspectors to maintain project files, review project plans and specifications, and complete quantity sheets.
- Draft and review Construction Change Orders.
- Process Progress Pay Estimates.
- Monitor and Enforce Labor Compliance.
- Be proficient on computer applications and software such as Microsoft Office.
- Review and analyze Contract Documents, including Caltrans Standard Plans and Specifications.
- Participate and take minutes for weekly progress meetings.
- Set-up and maintain files using the Caltrans Uniform Filing System.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering is desired.
- Two years of college courses in engineering are required.
- Four years of experience in highway and/or bridge projects.
- A strong understanding of engineering principles.
- Excellent technical writing skills for creating clear documentation.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve complex problems effectively.
- Documentation and organizational skills are absolutely required for this position.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
