Responsibilities
- Perform quality control tests on raw materials and finished products, documenting results meticulously.
- Maintain an organized and clean lab environment.
- Prepare samples for new product development using equipment such as blending machines, twin screw extrusion compounders, and injection molders.
- Troubleshoot issues in product development and resolve quality concerns as they arise.
- Contribute to safety, production, and communication meetings, offering insights and suggestions.
- Participate in lean manufacturing practices to boost safety and efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance workflows and processes.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards to maintain product consistency and meet regulatory and customer requirements.
- Conduct color analysis and matching, blending pigments and additives to meet client specifications.
- Communicate technical support to clients regarding color requirements.
- Adhere to ISO 13485 standards, especially for quality management systems in the medical device industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Material Science, Plastics Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in polymer compounding.
