Windows/VMware

Responsibilities:

· Ensuring that the processes are adhered to

· Ensure maximum uptime according to the SLA

· Handling Incident and Change Requests

· Monitoring and mentoring junior team members

· Creating PoC and UAT environment

· Identifying and suggesting implementation of new technologies/products for enhancement

· Identify Skill gaps and plan for training / knowledge updating

· Helping team members in case of Issues/Technical Problems

· Analysis and Provide RCA for Critical Incidents

· Design DR Plan and execute DR Drills

· License Management for Virtualization, Compute, Storage and Network

· Knowledge of ITIL best practice on incident management, change management and problem management

Technical Skills Required:

· Experience in Install, configure, manage and upgrade of VMware vCenter server and Hypervisors (ESX/ESXi)

· Proficiency in VMware HA, DRS, vMotion, DVS and Update Manager

· vCenter management

· Design & Implementation of new Virtual Infrastructure and consolidation of P2V Migration

· Experience in VMware vRealize Operation manager, VMware Capacity Manager and vCenter SRM is preferable

· Experience in Compute hardware remote connectivity tools like iLO/DRAC/RSA

· Good understanding of Virtual switch, Distributed Virtual Switch ( DVS ) and network design.

· Good understanding of related storage technologies, e.g. SAN, NAS and NFS

· Good understanding of ESX events and logs.

· Good understanding and experience in P2V and V2V technologies .

· Experience in backup and recovery of Virtual machines and virtual servers

· Knowledge of Windows System administration & Hardware management.

· Installing, configuring and maintaining Windows -Windows 2008, Windows 2012 & Windows 2016

· Hardening & Securing of Windows 2008, Windows 2012 & Windows 2016 ·

· Managing & Securing Active Directory

· Installing, Configuring of DNS 2012 & DNS 2016

· Installing, Configuring & Managing Certificate Services

· Installing, Configuring & Managing DFS Files System

· Installing, Configuring & Managing DHCP on Server 2003 & Server 2008 ·

· Server build & Decommission

· Design and configure the High Availability environment using MSCS or other cluster solutions with knowledge/experience on Storage Devices (SAN, NAS, DAS)

· Good Proficiency in System Fault Tolerance Design, Business continuity and Disaster recovery planning

· Installation and Configuration of atleast one backup tool –BackupExec /Netbackup /Arcserve

· MS Patch administration (planning and deployment) WSUS & SCCM

· PrinterAdministration -Secure Prininting & Working knowledge on Network Printing

· Managing & Troubleshooting Hardware -HP / UCS / Compaq and Operating system related issue

· Capacity planning and Fine tune system for optimal performance & Virtualization knowledge would be added advantage

· Performance monitoring and reporting for the compute, storage and network resources

· Troubleshooting and root cause analysis for the escalated issues

· Experience in Vendor coordination’s to fix hardware related issues in vBlock System

· Experience in Capacity planning, Resource Utilization and Bottleneck reporting.

· Design backup and restore plan

· Design and implement security Policies.

· Setup Monitoring and Operations process and tools for the DC and DR setup

· Work independently and as a member of a team of consultants on engagements with customers, often in a technical leadership role

· Document best practices in developing and deploying solutions and upload in the knowledge base for reuse by customers and partners
