After-School STEM Club Teacher (1-2 , 3-5 days/week)
S2STEM is seeking a part-time STEM Club Teacher to join our organization to support our STEM Club program for ages 5-12, Monday to Friday from 3 pm – 6 pm.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and teach age-appropriate hands-on STEM activities
- Build/update lesson plans in a comprehensive manner and use visual/audio means to facilitate learning
- Create a fun and safe learning environment
- Maintain a tidy and orderly classroom
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with students and counselors/teacher assistants
- Follow guidelines and safety protocols defined by S2STEM
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff, participate in staff meetings to get/share feedback
Qualifications:
- 3 or more years of teaching experience in an elementary/middle school setting
- Passionate about working with children
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Well-organized and committed
- Fun, creative and energetic
- Strong moral values and discipline
- Degree in teaching or in a specialized subject with a certificate in education
- Experience teaching Math and Science is a must. Engineering and Technology teaching experience is a huge plus but not mandatory
- Well-versed in the use of computer applications e.g. Google apps, Remind, and other tools used for lesson planning, student information tracking, etc.
- Knowledge of state-level educational standards
- Open to learning STEM-related topics and new ways of teaching and facilitation (S2STEM will provide guidance and necessary training for the first 3 months)

- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
- Childcare: 1 year (Preferred)
- Early Childhood Education: 1 year (Required)
License/Certification:
- CPR Certification (Preferred)
- Child Development Associate Certification (Preferred)
Ability to Relocate:
- Garnet Valley, PA 19060: Relocate before starting work (Required)
