Position Overview:
The Director of Operations is responsible for overseeing all facets of the center’s operations, ensuring exceptional experiences for students, parents, and staff. This role requires dynamic leadership to manage staff, build strong customer relationships, drive marketing and business development efforts, and ensure seamless day-to-day operations. With a focus on growth and innovation, the Director will champion the center’s mission of inspiring students in STEM education while positioning the center as a leader in delivering impactful and engaging STEM programs.
- Recruit, train, and retain a talented team of teachers, counselors, and support staff, ensuring compliance with all clearances and training requirements.
- Develop and manage staff schedules to provide optimal program coverage.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, offering constructive feedback and professional development opportunities to encourage growth.
- Promote a collaborative and inclusive work environment that aligns with the center's core values and encourages teamwork.
- Develop and nurture strong relationships with students, parents, and community stakeholders to build trust and satisfaction.
- Promptly address customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback with professionalism and care.
- Implement proactive communication strategies, including surveys and periodic touchpoints, to enhance engagement and improve services.
- Oversee enrollment processes to ensure seamless customer experiences and clear communication about programs.
- Host open houses, workshops, and parent meetings to foster community involvement and showcase the center’s offerings.
- Collaborate with the Marketing team to execute strategies that effectively promote the center’s programs and increase enrollment.
- Leverage digital platforms such as Facebook and other social media channels to engage with the community and boost visibility.
- Identify and cultivate partnerships with local schools, businesses, and organizations to expand the center's reach.
- Track and analyze marketing metrics to evaluate performance, achieve goals, and drive continuous improvement.
- Oversee the center’s daily operations to ensure programs run efficiently and meet quality standards.
- Ensure the facility is safe, clean, and well-maintained, coordinating with vendors and staff as needed.
- Manage resources, including materials, supplies, and operational costs, to support smooth day-to-day activities.
- Implement safety protocols and address operational challenges to maintain a productive and welcoming environment.
- Collaborate with staff and external curriculum partners to define high-level yearly themes for STEM clubs and camps, aligning with industry trends and student interests.
- Monitor the execution of programs, incorporating feedback to drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with the management to align operational goals with the organization’s vision and mission.
- Stay informed about emerging trends in STEM education to introduce innovative solutions and maintain a competitive edge.
- Proactively address operational gaps and challenges by developing and implementing creative strategies to foster growth and excellence.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Education, STEM, or a related field is a Must (Master’s preferred).
- 10 years of leadership experience supporting a small business administration or school administration
- Proven ability to lead diverse teams and implement operational strategies in dynamic environments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on empathy and collaboration.
- Experience in marketing, customer relations, or business development is a PLUS.
- Technology/Engineering Education Experience/Background is a Plus.
- Knowledge of STEM education trends and hands-on learning approaches.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Leadership and team-building capabilities.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion for STEM education and community engagement.
- Advanced proficiency with tools such as CRM, class management platforms, Google Suite and MS Office.
- Willing to travel locally for company events, and field trips.
