DevOps Engineer
- This position is currently hybrid. The DevOps Engineer is required to be onsite every 40 - 45 days to maintain system access or as needed for stakeholders or emergency meetings. Proximity to Tampa FL is ideal.
S2Technologies, LLC is looking for a DevOps Engineer in Tampa, FL. The DevOps Engineer will provide support with AWS technologies and implementing a DevOps pipeline as a senior member of the IT team. As a member of the team, the DevOps Engineer will support planning for future capabilities as well as implementing current technologies. Lead systems engineering functions such as developing a secdevops process and developing resilience and identifying issues with application(s).
The primary responsibilities include maintaining and upgrading systems to ensure the environment is secure and updated. This role includes, but is not limited to, patch management, system upgrades, backups, disaster recovery / business continuity planning, monitoring system performance and various projects to meet operational needs.

Lead engineering functions and support the rest of the teamSupport releasesSupport patch processSupport maintenance processCreate and monitor systemsSpin up and down resourcesInvestigate root causes of errorsMonitor resourcesImplement security changes and document security postureMonitor cost budget and expenditures for cloud resourcesDevelop and support functions to meet the various ilities of the applications such as scalability, vulnerability, expandabilityDeploy new versions of each service for the application within AWS USSOCOM production environmentSupport and prepare necessary documentation for accreditation and re-accreditation of application(s) in adherence to DISA STIGs and other established security protocolsMeet with clients and other program representativesParticipate during initial plan design and existing plan enhancementsRequired Skills / Qualifications / Duty Experience
6-8 years of experience supporting IT in DOD environmentAbility to develop AWS / AZURE cloud architectureAbility to develop cost estimates for cloud architectureAbility to lead meetings, discussions, or similar actions with client teams, other programs and internallyAbility to lead a team and / or work as an individual contributorFamiliarity with DISA STIGs and other established security protocolsFamiliarity with Agile / Scrum methodologiesDemonstrable experience with one or more of the following :Vue.jsJavaScriptPythonRESTGraphQLKubernetesNodeRancherOpenShiftDockerExcellent business communication and interpersonal skillsProactive approach to problem solvingDiscipline to complete tasks while working remotely or telecommutingDoD background (desired)Education / Certification Requirements
Bachelor's in Information Technology, computer science, project management or related field. The equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work / military experience.DoD 8570.01m Certification required (IAT-II)Security Requirements
