We are seeking a seasoned Area Director of Engineering to oversee the engineering and maintenance operations of multiple Hilton hotel properties, located throughout Orange County. This strategic role is crucial for ensuring all facilities meet Hilton's high standards of safety, functionality, and guest comfort. The successful candidate will be an experienced leader capable of managing multiple teams and properties efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and oversee the maintenance procedures across multiple hotels.
- Coordinate with hotel GMs and other department heads to ensure seamless operation and maintenance standards.
- Manage capital projects, including renovations and critical systems upgrades.
- Oversee all regulatory compliance issues and ensure all properties meet health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Develop and manage annual budgets for the engineering departments across all properties.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure adherence to Hilton’s operational standards.
- Mentor and lead engineering staff at each property, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in engineering management within the hospitality industry, with at least 2 years in a multi-property leadership role.
- Expert knowledge of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, with a strong understanding of financial reports.
- Excellent leadership skills with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
- Ability to travel frequently between properties.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of management and staff.
- Hotel development and Construction experience preferred.
Experience:
- Demonstrated experience in project management, including overseeing large-scale renovations and compliance projects.
- Strong operational background in hotel maintenance or facilities management.
