Position Overview :
S3 is seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated Claims Administrator I to join our Unemployment Insurance (UI) Administration Department. This part-time, flex-schedule role involves handling unemployment claims processing, client communication, and employment verifications. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, values accuracy and efficiency, and has strong administrative and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities :
Process & Manage Claims :Import and prioritize incoming claims, questionnaires, and related documentation.
Review claims and determine appropriate action (protest or non-protest).Analyze separation documentation from clients to gather necessary details for positive claim outcomes.Client & State Communication :Communicate with clients throughout the entire claims lifecycle.
Draft and submit detailed claim protests, aligning responses with supporting documentation.Ensure timely submission of all electronic responses and fact-finding requests via cloud based business application.Monitor claim progress and follow up on determinations from state agencies.Recordkeeping & Documentation :Upload documentation into cloud based business application..
Maintain accurate client contact information and report any changes to the Team Lead.Process and organize incoming mail, ensuring timely notifications on urgent matters.Employment Verifications :Respond to employment verification requests by providing accurate client contact details.
Team Support & Additional Duties :Provide backup support to other team members as needed.
Participate in special projects and other administrative tasks to support department goals.Minimum Qualifications :
Self-starter with a high level of initiative and attention to detail.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.Ability to manage multiple deadlines and fluctuating work volume.Team-oriented with a commitment to customer service excellence.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).Reliable transportation and the ability to travel locally to complete job-related errands such as post office visits.Preferred Qualifications :
Prior experience in HR, sales, or administrative support.Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.Familiarity with claims processing, legal documentation, or client service is a plus.Professional Development :
