First Mortgage Collateral Specialist
The First Mortgage Collateral Specialist will be a part of the talented First Mortgage Fulfillment team. At S3, we are about people helping people and our First Mortgage Collateral Specialist plays a vital role by supporting First Mortgage Fulfillment in all aspects of collateral management. The First Fulfillment Collateral Specialist will monitor the receipt of original collateral documentation and review for completeness and accuracy. The First Mortgage Collateral Specialist is responsible for the intake and organization of the collateral documentation while housed on-site as well as preparing aged collateral shipments for long-term storage. The First Mortgage Collateral Specialist also works closely with our Secondary Marketing and First Mortgage Fulfillment teams to help facilitate collateral and trailing document shipments for investor loan sales.

Top Job Responsibilities
- Review collateral documentation for accuracy and compliance with agency and Credit Union policies.
- Work closely with Secondary Marketing to pull and ship collateral documentation for initial certification and final trailing documents when required for investor loan sales.
- Work with Settlement agents and internal teams to resolve problems or issues that arise with collateral documentation.
- Ensure receipt of original collateral documentation after closing and prepare for on-site storage.
- Maintain accurate records of all incoming collateral packages received in the department.
- Receive incoming mail for the department and redirect mail as needed.
- Serve as the main point of contact for collateral documentation requests for the department.
- Pull and prepare aged collateral shipments for long-term storage.
- Print and mail documentation to members.
- Additional job-related projects and duties as assigned by management.
- 1 year of experience with first mortgage collateral and final trailing documentation preferred.
- Knowledge of RESPA, TILA and CFPB requirements preferred.
- Knowledge of First Mortgage operations and Mortgage Cadence Loan Origination System preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Positive attitude with aptitude to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent time management with the ability to prioritize workload based on department requirements while working in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
- Ability to function in changing environment and adjust to shifting priorities.
