(Education can be substituted for 8 years of experience)Schedule : Required to be on-call and respond in a timely mannerTravel : OccasionalSalary : Commensurate with experienceJob Listing Number : CO21003Contract Labor Category : DBA (SQL) L3-SrWe are seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Database Administrator (SQL), L3-Sr. to join our team in Colorado Springs, CO.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to : Act as a Senior Database Administrator working with team members to ensure all requirements are delivered in an efficient, highly productive manner Provide technical support for the day-to-day SQL Server activities of the organization Provide technical Support for chartered Projects, e.g. Security Remediation, Disaster Recovery Coordinate changes to SQL Server and SQL Server Service Packs and cumulative updates Implement database changes to improve performance and security Plan, coordinate, and implement security measures to safeguard databases Measure database performance and troubleshoot complex database issues Configure and monitor interfaces with other systems Configure and maintain system databases, user databases and server instances Configure and maintain schema, tables, views, functions, triggers and indexes Configure and manage system and database user IDs and group permissions Configure and manage database backups and recoveries Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot bi-directional database replication Efficient at T-SQL and Batch scripting Review procedures in database management system manuals for making changes to database Review project requests describing database user needs to estimate time and cost required to accomplish project Basic Qualifications : 5-7 years of experience in SQL Server Administration experience Experience installing, configuring, securing, and optimizing SQL Server Databases Experience with High Availability and Data Replication technologies as related to SQL Servers Experience writing and debugging scripts in PowerShell Ability to work on individual tasks, as well as team-oriented tasks Ability to prioritize competing priorities Ability to work under a cross-matrix management structure Ability to work on individual tasks, as well as team-oriented tasks Required to be on-call and respond in a timely manner A 4-year degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other related scientific or technical discipline with 5-7 or more year's related professional experience.
