Interior Designer
S9 Architecture is an award-winning full-service design firm composed of 50 designers dedicated to designing everything from interior spaces to buildings and neighborhoods that respectfully integrate and enhance communities and cities.
S9 Architecture is seeking a highly motivated Interior Designer to join our team of professionals who are committed to creating aesthetically beautiful spaces which are also meaningful in terms of social and urban impact.
Calling all passionate designers with:
- 0-5 years of experience in architecture or interiors; preferred focus on interior design
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in interior design, architecture, or related design field
- Passion for materials and construction methods
- Excitement for textiles, finishes, millwork design, and FF&E and all the tactile elements of architecture and environmental design
- Exposure to all project phases (Concept through Construction Administration), including built work (For 0-3 years: Strong conceptual design skills and enthusiasm for developing new ideas; interest in details and resolving design challenges; curiosity about construction and installation)
- Expertise in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Cloud, Rhino and Enscape; knowledge of Revit and V-Ray are preferred
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills, as well as the ability to meet fast-pace and changing deadlines
- High motivation, with attention to detail
- Enthusiasm for working on multi-disciplinary and highly collaborative teams
- A strong perspective and constructive communication skills
Key Areas You’ll Focus on include (not limited to):
- Collaborate on preliminary designs and produce visualizations from 3D models that reflect the proposed finishes floor plans, RCPs, elevations, and FF&E
- Help document design concepts for interior design and space planning
- Assist design presentations, mood boards, and material boards/binders to help convey look and feel of design concepts to clients
- Prepare design specifications and coordinate with project architects and project managers to ensure project completion in compliance with design intent
- Collaborate with supportive team on exciting, diverse projects and assist on interior design scope including space planning, furnishings, material selection, and color coordination

Compensation: $70,000-$90,000 based upon experience, qualifications and education.
