S9 Architecture is accepting applications for 2025 Summer Internship opportunity. Summer interns will work with the team in-studio, full-time, gaining experience in a highly collaborative design studio. Applicants are expected to be available for the entire duration of the internship which begins at the beginning of June through August.

Compensation: Based upon experience, qualifications, and education in the range of $21.00-$24.00 / hour.

Rejecting pre-conceived ideas and stylistic preoccupations, each design solution is informed by programmatic, physical, environmental, economic, and contextual forces. We believe our projects are part of a larger whole, acting as glue that helps bind and enhance their context for human experiences.
Our work is primarily centered in the New York City area but we have multiple large projects across North America. We strive for high-minded design in everything we do and across all project typologies which currently include: residential, office, adaptive reuse, urban design, commercial, and mixed use.

Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the team to create plans for new structures and redesign existing structures.
- Assist lead architect and designers with a range of duties including creating models, research, and presentation material.
- Provide support for all aspects of architectural design, from presentations for clients to working with the design team. This may include hands-on architectural work, such as drafting in CAD and 3D modeling in Rhino, as well assisting in creating presentation and diagrams.
- Completed third year of an undergraduate program or first year of a graduate program in architecture.
- Strong knowledge of major 3D modeling software, AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite. Knowledge of Rhino, Revit, and Enscape preferred.
- Ability to prioritize directions from team members and facilitate workflow between different aspects of the project.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ambitious, self-motivated, and curious.
- Eligible to work in the US and can commit to the full duration of internship.
- Must be returning to school at the end of the internship.
