Job Description:
Saab, Inc. is seeking a dynamic Associate HR Professional, based in East Syracuse, New York. In this hybrid role, you will be responsible for various activities supporting our workforce by assisting with the hiring and onboarding experience, benefits administration and HRIS activities. You will be a facilitator of the pre-hire and onboarding process. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Act as primary HR contact for new hire through the post offer and pre-onboarding process, ensuring all required forms and pre-employment screening is complete, new hire I-9’s in E-Verify complete, and managing the relocation process (as appropriate).
- Responsible for onboarding activities; welcome communications, orientation scheduling, and managing internal communications.
- Enroll new hires in required trainings and ensure completion.
- May assist with recruiting initiatives, such as posting positions to third party sites.
You will have a key role supporting our employees with their benefits. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Answering employee questions regarding benefits inquiries.
- Navigate carrier websites for processing enrollments, terminations, and life events.
- Collaborates directly with Carriers to research issues and confirm group and member information.
- Provide support during the Open Enrollment process.
- Overseeing COBRA administration through third party vendor.
- Supports all auditing requests (i.e., 401k, compliance, I-9, benefits, etc.).
- Acts as liaison between third party administrator and employee for leaves of absence and coordinates communications with employees and management.
- Assists with new hire enrollments.
- Manages file feeds between Saab, Inc, and benefits carriers.
- Completes weekly vendor data audits.
You will be responsible for HRIS activities within our Workday system. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Inputting new hire information and reconciling new hire data including uploading I-9s.
- Responsible for preparing new hire HRIS credentials.
- Running ad hoc reports as requested for compliance or business needs.
Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree with 0-2 years’ HR related work experience.
- Strong computer skills and ability to learn HRIS system, Workday.
- Demonstrated problem solving skills.
- Organized and have an impeccable eye for detail.
- Thrive in fast-paced environments and ambiguity does not scare you away.
- Can juggle multiple tasks at once, keeping stakeholders informed and on track when necessary.
- You are responsive, dependable, and a professional communicator.
Citizenship Requirements:
Must be a U.S. citizen. Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Salary : $50,900 - $64,500
