Job Description:
Saab, Inc. is seeking a Manager, Program Management to lead a team of Program Managers. Each Program Manager is responsible for a number of customer-facing projects, primarily to deploy critical air traffic management systems and platforms for customers around the world. In this role, you will directly manage a team of approximately 20 individuals. You will work collaboratively within your team & across multiple teams to establish priorities and identify & mitigate risks. You will establish, implement, and refine internal processes, tools, and templates used in the Program Management function. You will ensure the validity of project cost estimates for proposed project, new projects, and ongoing projects. You will be a part of the ATM segment leadership team within the Surveillance Division, and your primary mission will be to ensure that the ATM segment continues to be a predictable, profitable part of the Surveillance Division.
Responsibilities Include:
- Directly managing a team of Program Managers
- Coaching, Mentoring, and Developing less experienced Program Managers
- Defining, implementing, and refining Program Management tools, processes, and methods
- Helping translate Corporate, Division, and Segment goals, objectives, and strategies into actionable plans
- Participating in business forecasting activities
- Identifying, tracking, and mitigating risks for individual projects and more broadly for the team
- Adequately staffing the Program Management team/function
- Coordinating with Program Management teams in other segments
- Occasional external customer interactions may be required
Compensation Range: $161,700-$218,300
The compensation range provided is a general guideline. When extending an offer, Saab, Inc. considers factors including (but not limited to) the role and associated responsibilities, location, and market and business considerations, as well as the candidate's work experience, key skills, and education/training.
Skills and Experience:
Experience and Skills:
- Degree in business, management, finance, or engineering or related experience
- Project planning, project execution, and project management experience, preferably associated with complex, distributed systems or solutions
- Ability to use advanced knowledge to provide feedback and direction to program managers & their teams
- Proven track record of defining and winning newly proposed contracts (new projects, new customers, follow-on projects, support contracts, etc.)
- Knowledge and experience with international business and projects
- Experience managing various subcontractors
- Strong communication skills & influencing ability
Some limited domestic & international travel may be required; <10%.
