Job Title: Porter
Job Summary: As a Porter, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness within designated areas around the facility. Your primary duties will include cleaning, organizing, and ensuring a pleasant and safe environment for both staff and visitors. Porters play a crucial role in creating a positive first impression and contributing to overall customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Cleaning: Clean and pick up trash around the property and dispose of in designated areas. Clean up common areas. Empty trash bins and replace liners.
Maintenance: Report and address any maintenance issues or safety hazards.
Perform minor repairs or tasks related to upkeep. Able to lift up to 50 pounds when needed to remove trash from units.
Customer Service: Greet and assist visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
Respond to customer inquiries and provide information when necessary.
Direct customers to appropriate personnel or areas.
Organization: Arrange furniture and equipment as needed.
Ensure orderly storage of supplies and equipment.
Assist with the setup and breakdown of events or meetings.
Security and Safety: Monitor premises for security concerns and report any suspicious activity.
Follow safety protocols and guidelines.
Be aware of emergency procedures and participate in drills.
Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other staff members to maintain a cohesive and efficient work environment.
Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting 50lbs, bending, and standing for extended periods.
Working Conditions: The work environment is primarily outside. At times you will work inside of a unit to trash out apartment as needed.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8-5pm, 1 hour break
Pay: $15-$16 per hour
