Position Summary:
We are looking for Director of Analytics to join and manage our growing team of data analytics experts to support and implement high-quality, data-driven decisions. across product, sales, and marketing to support and implement high-quality, data-driven decisions. This is a client-facing role and we are looking for candidates who are comfortable working independently, as a team lead and client engagement managers at the same time. They will provide thought leadership and act as a subject matter expert in the designing and recommending of appropriate analytical approaches and methodology in addressing key issues within the business. They will also support other business executives and departmental leaders in making strategic, data-driven decisions, regarding new products, additional use cases, customer segments, investments, among other subjects.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Serve as primary client contact on all phases of the analytic project from problem definition through presentation, appropriately managing client expectations throughout the project
- Explore and capitalize on opportunities to cross-sell and up-sell existing clients
- Manage multiple resources and projects concurrently to ensure successful completion of analytic projects
- Evangelize the value of analytics services internally and directly with clients
- Delivers executive-level business case presentations that successfully generate new business from the analysis performed
- Lead the client engagement independently with the help of team across globe content support for new opportunities, creating toolkits, and ensuring client success
- Provides accurate work estimates and oversees delivery against budget
- Ensures organization design and team are in place to deliver against plans
- Ensures strong operational processes are in place to deliver across all areas of responsibility
- Integrates work with other teams including Operations, Account Teams, and Technology
- Actively mentors team members focused on modeling, reporting, and campaign management based on personal experiences and skills in these areas of focus
- Creates an environment where data and analytics professionals can develop their skills and grow their careers through taking on increased responsibility and adding value to the organization
Required Skills and qualifications:
- Strong academic record from premier institutes with bachelor’s in computer applications, Computer Science, Engineering, or closely related field. Master’s in Business Administration is an added plus.
- 10 years of experience in analytics delivery and management consulting working with ETL, Business Intelligence, Data Quality, Data Analytics; also, minimum 5 years’ experience working in a management or leadership capacity
- Strong executive-level client facing skills and the ability to communicate complex analytical concepts with confidence to a non-technical executive audience
- Experience ramping up analytics programs with new clients, including integrating with work of other teams to ensure analytics approach is aligned with account strategy and available data
- Expertise selecting context-appropriate modeling, analysis, and reporting techniques, with hands-on skills with common marketing analytics
- Excellent understanding of data warehouses / data-marts and dimensional data models
- Proficient in SQL. Proficient in data analytics, reporting and integration platform like Python, Knime, Tableau
- Ability and willingness to take a hands-on execution role where required to support client needs and team development
- Highly organized with an ability to work under tight deadlines and shifting priorities
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with a strong business acumen
