THE POSITION IN A NUTSHELL
Sciens Building Solutions is searching for a Financial Analyst to join our team. Ideally, you are a dynamic, motivated and enthusiastic individual who thrives in a rapidly changing environment. You will maintain company models and checklists, analyze financial data in order to prepare financial reports, complete month end close tasks, and investigate and reconcile variance issues. The person in this role will support special projects, and work on continuous process improvements across the division, in order to maintain a strong control environment.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING (and doing well!)
- Coordinate weekly cash reporting and complete bank reconciliations during the month end close.
- Oversee and ensure timely and accurate processing of transactions and accounting data (IE: WIP reporting)
- Prepare journal entries and variance analysis for month end close
- Support with timely completion of month-end internal and external reporting in compliance with U.S. GAAP.
- Provide ad hoc and monthly financial analysis of divisional financial performance.
- Help research and provide opinions on proper GAAP accounting treatment for new processes.
- Support implementation of new ERP system enhancements and train key resources.
- Assist with preparation of information required for fiscal year-end financial statement audit and corporate tax returns.
- Effectively analyze and reconcile financial data with attention to detail.
- Participate in special projects as requested
WHAT WE LIKE ABOUT YOU!
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
- At least 1 year of related experience in finance, accounting or audit.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. accounting principles.
- CPA or CPA eligible preferred but not required.
- Exercise sound judgment in performing subjective accounting analysis.
- Maintain confidentiality of all privileged information.
- Work independently and successfully as a team member.
- Strong organizational and planning skills and an ability to perform under pressure.
- Possess effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Solid work ethic.
- Knowledge and experience with Enterprise Resource Planning Systems, preferably Microsoft D365; proficiency in Microsoft Office.

COMPENSATION
$75,000 - $80,000 annually
