We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Paralegal with a minimum of 10 years of experience to join our prestigious law firm located in New York City. The Senior Paralegal will provide comprehensive legal support to our attorneys in various practice areas, including litigation, corporate, real estate, or intellectual property, and will be responsible for managing complex legal tasks, conducting legal research, preparing legal documents, and assisting with case management. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of New York State and Federal laws and regulations, exceptional organizational and communication skills, and a proven track record of working independently in a fast-paced legal environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-level legal support to attorneys in the firm across various practice areas, including litigation, corporate, real estate.
- Conduct thorough legal research using online and offline resources, analyze and summarize findings, and prepare comprehensive legal memoranda, briefs, and other legal documents.
- Draft, review, and revise legal documents, including pleadings, contracts, agreements, and other legal correspondence, ensuring accuracy and adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and court rules.
- Manage and organize complex case files, including electronic and physical documents, maintain case calendars, and track deadlines, ensuring compliance with court rules and internal procedures.
- Coordinate and assist in the preparation of discovery requests and responses, including document production, drafting interrogatories, and managing document databases.
- Assist attorneys in preparing for depositions, hearings, and trials, including organizing exhibits, conducting witness interviews, and coordinating with other parties.
- Prepare and file legal documents with courts, government agencies, and other relevant parties, ensuring compliance with applicable rules and regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of corporate and transactional documents, such as corporate formations, mergers and acquisitions, and due diligence reviews.
- Collaborate with attorneys, clients, and other legal professionals in a professional and responsive manner, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
- Stay current with changes in laws, regulations, and legal trends that may impact the firm and its clients, and provide updates and recommendations as needed.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior paralegals, as needed, and participate in training programs and professional development opportunities.
- Undertake special projects and assignments as directed by attorneys or firm management, demonstrating a proactive and results-oriented approach to achieving objectives.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of paralegal experience in a law firm or corporate legal department, with a focus on litigation, corporate, real estate, or related areas.
- Associate's degree or higher in Paralegal Studies or a related field is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of New York State and Federal laws, regulations, and court rules.
- Proven experience in conducting legal research, analyzing legal issues, and preparing legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests and responses.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage complex tasks and deadlines independently.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all work products.
- Proficient in legal research platforms, e-discovery tools, and case management software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly and concisely.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and make decisions within established guidelines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other relevant software applications.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities and deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with colleagues at all levels of the organization.

This is a full-time position based at our New York City office and in person.
