Dog Groomer

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Dog Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and experience in grooming various breeds of dogs. As a Dog Groomer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being and appearance of pets, while also providing excellent customer service to pet owners. This position requires strong animal handling skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

• Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, nail trimming, and ear cleaning for dogs.
• Assess the condition of dogs' coats and skin, providing recommendations for grooming services.
• Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, adhering to health and safety standards.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' grooming needs and any concerns observed during grooming.
• Handle pets safely and comfortably, ensuring their well-being throughout the grooming process.
• Assist with kennel duties as needed, including feeding, walking, and monitoring pets.
• Provide exceptional customer service to build lasting relationships with clients.

Requirements

• Proven experience in pet grooming or related fields such as veterinary assistance or animal handling is preferred.
• Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as required when handling larger breeds or equipment.
• Knowledge of pet care practices and familiarity with various breeds is advantageous.
• Previous experience in a kennel or veterinary environment is a plus.
• A passion for animals and commitment to their care and well-being.
