Who We Need
Sabel Systems has the technology solutions to support cloud-based processes for Digital Engineering, enabling Digital Threads for, and Digital Twins of, complex weapon systems. As a Verification and Validation (V&V) Advisor for Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Computer-Aided Design (CAD) models, you will be responsible for reviewing/communicating the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of system models and designs. You will lead the V&V efforts for MBSE processes and CAD models used in complex systems engineering projects, ensuring that they meet all specified requirements and function as intended. Your expertise will guide teams in applying rigorous V&V methodologies to verify system models, assess performance, and validate design specifications. This role requires a deep understanding of MBSE principles, CAD design tools, and verification/validation practices to ensure that designs are technically sound, compliant, and ready for deployment.
Key Responsibilities:
Verification and Validation of Models:
o Lead the implementation and review of V&V plans for MBSE and CAD models.
o Develop and execute test plans, procedures, and criteria to verify that system models meet functional, performance, and compliance requirements.
o Communicate the results of V&V with the client including identifying defects and
recommending corrective actions.
Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE):
o Apply MBSE principles and tools (e.g., SysML, Cameo EA) to ensure that system architecture models are ingestible for automated systems.
o Provide guidance on using MBSE methodologies for model-based analysis, system simulation, and design optimization.
o Support model reviews, ensuring that models are robust, coherent, and fully traceable to requirements and design objectives.
CAD Model Verification and Validation:
o Lead V&V efforts for CAD models, ensuring that designs meet specified technical requirements and adhere to quality and manufacturing standards.
o Utilize CAD tools (e.g. PTC Creo, CADIQ) to validate design specifications, geometry, and functionality of mechanical, and electrical systems.
Collaboration and Reporting:
o Work closely with engineering and program management teams to track progress, report on V&V outcomes, and resolve issues efficiently.
o Provide technical oversight and support for V&V activities, guiding teams in troubleshooting and refining models.
o Develop and present V&V reports, summarizing findings, assessments, and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership.
Continuous Improvement and Best Practices:
o Identify and implement improvements to V&V processes and tools, ensuring the adoption of industry best practices.
o Stay informed on the latest trends, methodologies, and tools in MBSE, CAD modeling, and V&V practices.
o Contribute to the development of internal standards and processes for V&V in MBSE and CAD model design.
Risk Management and Issue Resolution:
o Identify potential risks related to design models and assist teams in implementing mitigations.
o Manage and prioritize issues arising from verification and validation activities, ensuring timely resolution and alignment with project goals.
Job Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Engineering or a related field.
Experience in aerospace, defense, or automotive industries, where complex systems and CAD models are a central focus.
Strong experience with PTC Creo or similar CAD tools, particularly their validation functions.
Familiarity with agile methodologies and how they relate to systems engineering and model verification.
Familiarity with MBSE or CAD Validation tools (i.e. Cameo EA, CADIQ) is a plus.
Familiarity with PLM tools (i.e. Siemens Teamcenter) is a plus.
Knowledge of simulation-based design and digital twin technologies for model verification.
Previous experience working in government or DoD projects is highly desirable.

Salary and Benefits
The range for this position is between $120,000 and $150,000. Actual salary will be negotiated with this positions Hiring Manager and can vary depending on the following factors: Billable contract and labor category, experience, skills, education /certifications/ licenses & geographic location.
