The primary purpose of this position is to work collaboratively with/for the Director of Clinical Informatics to enhance utilization of clinical technology and to provide support through the development of tools, resources and processes within our clinical applications. This position will review/analyze use of current electronic clinical systems within the Company, find and suggest new and improved ways to meet business objectives, implement changes as they are approved, and measure the success of improvements once in place while maintaining established standards of practice set forth by the Company’s administration and information technology (IT) Policies and Procedures.
Responsibilities
- Must be able to travel 25% of the time.
- Reviews existing clinical IT systems at the Company, finds inefficiencies in those systems and recommends improvements.
- Provides teaching and training to team members in a variety of ways including one-on-one as well as small and large group sessions, while using in-person and web-based methods.
- Validates that the suggested changes/solutions for the business goals and objectives of the department/organization.
- Interviews users as well as others to understand their business goals and requirements and how clinical information systems can help achieve those objectives.
- Creates training materials necessary to document systems.
- Oversees system development progress to ensure that it is in sync with documented and approved technical and functional requirements and all planned deadlines.

- Other duties as assigned.
- Travel as needed to support training programs, employee development initiatives, and organizational needs at various Saber locations.
- Must be a Registered Nurse.
- Must have experience with Matrix or PCC (Point Click Care) EMR softwares.
- Prefer candidate to reside in one of the 6 states we operate in (Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Virginia, and North Carolina).
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience using computer-aided software engineering tools and applications.
- A thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle.
- Experience analyzing large amounts of data to find undiscovered patterns or knowledge applied to further systems development and improvement.
- Skilled in the Microsoft Office suite of tools including Outlook, Word, Excel.
- Ability to communicate in a positive manner, with tact, professionally, and efficiently with communities, management, agencies as well as other members of the Company.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel to various Saber locations, approximately 25% of the time.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple programs and projects simultaneously.
- Must have a minimum of 5 years working in a skilled nursing facility or 3 years in a skilled nursing facility and experience working with nursing home software platforms.

- Remote position but prefer residency in Ohio, Indiana, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Delaware or North Carolina
