Job Summary

At SABIC, we provide exceptional opportunities for engineering students to spend a semester doing real engineering work. Whether it is in Operations, EHS&S, or Maintenance/Reliability, SABIC offers an array of different opportunities to help students develop the skills needed for a career after graduation.

How You Can Be the Impact

SABIC co-ops and interns will work on meaningful projects that have real impact for the business under the guidance of some of our best engineers. They will receive on the job training, exposure to different parts of the business and mentoring from members of our leadership teams. In addition, they will build support networks with other co-ops and interns and have the opportunity to be part of a pipeline into the SABIC Engineering Early Development Program (SEED) – a two year rotational program consisting of four, 6 month roles and two geographical locations.

During the program, co-ops and interns will be assigned to experience the following types of assignments:

• Chemical Operations
• Compounding
• Maintenance
• Central Engineering
• Environmental, Health, and Safety

Program placements will be based on technical development needs, availability of assignments and personal preference. Pay is competitive and relocation is available for those qualify.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing, and/or pulling for up to eight (8) hours a day.

Eligibility Requirements

• Pursuing a Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or equivalent engineering degree with a 3.0/4.0 GPA

• Applicants must be currently authorized to work for SABIC in the United States on a full-time basis.

Work Availability

Regular, predictable attendance is an essential function of this position. Applicants must be regularly available and willing to work during assigned hours of operation and such other hours as the company determines are necessary or desirable to meet business needs
