Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Operations Engineer to join our team at SABIC. The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting daily operations, driving improvements in production and quality targets, and ensuring the smooth operation of our production unit. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Operations Engineering, with experience in Petro-Chemical / Chemical Plant Environment.
How You Can Be The Impact
- Support daily operations, including troubleshooting, increasing operational effectiveness and efficiency, and overseeing equipment resources
- Conduct routine checks and perform complex troubleshooting, debottlenecking, and Root Cause Analysis to identify and resolve performance gaps
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Supply Chain, Maintenance, T&I, Process Engineering, and Quality, to resolve performance gaps and implement corrective actions
- Coordinate with Supply Chain teams to ensure smooth unit outages and turnarounds
- Provide primary interface with Supply Chain resources and oversee production plan and high-level production schedule development
- Develop and implement long-term strategies focused on reliability improvement such as CapEx and expense projects
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including production data and performance metrics
- Oversee the unit quality and including bad actor resolution process and involve others as appropriate to resolve issues
- Assume SAP roles as required to support unit operations (PP, PLM, and LE)
- Develop and maintain operating procedures and condition cards
- Drive improvements in production and quality targets, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
