JOB SUMMARY:
The Maintenance Tech is responsible for ensuring all maintenance contractors adhere to industry work practices in the field concerning Preventative Maintenance and Repair projects being completed in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner. The position requires the individual to work independently and to have the ability to work cooperatively with third party vendors as well as internal team members.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Contractor supervision of routine field tasks
· Oversee and coordinate 3rd party vendors on Sabine job sites (technicians and roustabouts).
· Supervise pipeline repairs
· Annual property maintenance
· Quarterly and annual wellhead greasing
· Rotating equipment maintenance, repairs, installs, and removals
· SWDs, cooler, gas and air compressors, generators, dehys, water filters
· P5 and P&A equipment removal and location cleanup.
· D.O.T. Valve maintenance
· High pressure choke and flow beam repairs
· Familiarity with Job Safety Analysis process and implementing JSA’s with contractors.
· Identify high risk activities and be present for their safe execution in the field.
· Assist in procedure writing of Standard Operating Procedures for PM tasks.
· Ability to bid material and labor quotes and generate project estimates for PM work.
· Review and approve purchase requisitions and field tickets.
· Ability to input daily activity and cost reports into daily job reporting software [Rimbase and Fast Field].
· Conduct site inspections as well as correct and report all safety and environmental concerns.
· Assist Pipeline Foreman as required in maintaining or completing PHMSA pipeline regulation tasks.
· Perform all work in compliance with company standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
· Demonstrate performance toward continuous improvements and operational excellence.
· Maintain acceptable qualifications related to assigned tasks.
· Obtain and keep current Operator Qualifications.
· Other duties as assigned by management
· Ability to work in office as well a field
· Required to be available to respond to calls during nonworking hours
· Weekend/Holiday work as required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
· Effective communication skills with both internal and external organizations.
· Must have basic to intermediate level computer skills including knowledge of MS Office.
· Working knowledge of standard facility construction and dirt work techniques.
· Extensive knowledge of SWD pump operations and gas engine mechanical basics.
· Working knowledge of High-Pressure production equipment used in the field
· Good verbal and written communication skills.
· Familiarity with TCEQ and emissions testing.
· Familiarity with conducting pipeline PRV inspections and cathodic potential checks.
· Ability to work independently unsupervised or in a team environment.
· Ability to bid and prioritize tasks, analyze data, and make recommendations.
· Ability to follow company operating policies, practices and regulatory requirements.
· Operator Qualified certificates to work on regulated pipelines.
· Ability to lead and champion a high safety culture with internal and external coworkers.
· Minimum of 5 years of related experience in equipment maintenance, oil and gas construction or production including solid relationships with existing maintenance vendors.
· Strong understanding of mechanical, rotational, and pneumatic equipment used in gas industry.
· Experience and knowledge of materials, fuels, lubricants used in oil and gas maintenance.
· Experience using the following equipment: Personal Computers, Cathodic and Norm Measurement Devices, Gas Monitoring Devices
EDUCATION:
· High School Diploma
· Associates degree in mech technology preferred, or multiple years equivalent field experience
