We have an immediate opportunity for a meticulous Purchasing Assistant to expedite purchase requests from a very busy IT department.
Responsibilities for the Purchasing Assistant :
- Expedite and confirm open orders from online shopping cart with buyers & suppliers
- Ensures timely delivery of all purchased materials
- Orders will consist of IT equipment, software, parts, office supplies, and related supplies
- Set up travel requests in system (SAP)
- Work with supervisor to determine progress of work & provide information on changes
- Correspond with suppliers regarding status of PO’s
- Inputs information in appropriate file on computer
- Ability to work with minimal supervision & manage under stress to meet deadlines
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
