About the Role:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Telemetry Unit team. This is an exciting opportunity for a nurse with BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications, as well as EKG and EPIC experience. As a Telemetry RN, you will provide high-quality care for patients while monitoring their heart rhythms and vital signs. You'll be working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where customer service and flexibility are key. This role requires working every other weekend and holiday, and flexibility with scheduling is a must.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide direct patient care in a Telemetry Unit with a focus on cardiac patients.
- Monitor patients' vital signs, heart rhythms, and other indicators, responding promptly to any changes.
- Utilize EPIC for patient charting, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date.
- Respond to EKG findings and escalate any significant changes in patient condition.
- Work every other weekend and holiday, with flexibility in scheduling and a willingness to make up any missed shifts due to illness.
- Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring that patients and their families receive compassionate care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
- Experience with EKG monitoring and interpretation is essential.
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records is required.
- Ability to work every other weekend and every other holiday as part of the rotating schedule.
- Must be flexible with scheduling-no block schedules and no set days off.
- Strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on customer service and patient care.
