- Define the product strategy and translate it into a vision that balances customer needs, business goals, and resource limitations.
- Take responsibility for the product roadmap and lifecycle (ideation to delivery), help the entire team balance long-term and short-term goals, and represent “the customer” within the development lifecycle.
- Interact with customers and stakeholders at all levels on a regular basis, articulating investment priorities, supporting NDC adoption / implementation, and uncovering opportunities to further deepen the backlog for future investment.
- Represent Sabre within industry forums and working groups
- Conduct market and competitive research to make informed, data-driven decisions.
- Dig into complex user scenarios, explore pain points, and deliver viable solutions that bring value.
- Make things simple by proposing necessary and sufficient new feature concepts and optimize existing capabilities to drive the business.
- Work closely with marketing, sales, and engineering teams to deliver value to customers.
- Author technical documentation / API user guides ensuring consumers can integrate capabilities in a self-sufficient manner.
- Experience managing API offerings and exceptional grasp of related technologies (SOAP, API, XML, JSON).
- GDS and travel industry experience, with a focus on Airline content distribution
- At least 5 years of product management experience with complex B2B products, and experience in market-facing roles (e.g. engaging with customers and prospects)
- Strong product sense, with a deep understanding of customer needs and pain points.
- Strong prioritization skills, articulating underlying assumptions.
- Ability to engage with diverse viewpoints, manage competing stakeholder needs and identify opportunities.
- Ability to communicate upward and outward about the bigger picture, trade-offs, and delivery timelines.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communications skills, and be a strong public speaker
- Knowledge of Travel Agency processes
- Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)Exposure to NDC schema’s / standards and hands on experience with airline NDC implementations
